For Super Admin / Admin Teacher / Teacher

Roles and Permissions

Roles and Permissions helps Super Admins and Instructors manage who has access to courses and set the roles access.

1. Dashboard - There are now separate tabs for

  • My Course (Includes your own courses as well as any courses you have access to or were added to as a collaborator)
  • All Courses (List of courses within your institution)

2. Course > Collaborators tab - Shows the list of staff with access to this course. As the course owner or course admin, you can invite, add, or change collaborators and their roles.

Existing roles will be updated to

  • Course Owner - Course Owner
  • Teacher (Full-Access) - Course Admin 
  • Teacher (read-only) - Observer

You can

  • Add collaborators to your course based on roles access to course management, activity management and student management.
  • Select a specific course collaborator role, and allow any instructor from your institution to participate in the course. (Optional)
  • Custom roles can be created or edited by the Super Admin.

Institution Departments

1. Departments (*Available upon request)

To organize your staff users by department, faculty, or school, this feature can be enabled upon request. Please contact support for assistance.


Activity Creation

    1. Pre-work

    Prework-Upload

    • Files can be re-ordered using the move-up or move-down function.
    • After the open period has ended, adjust visibility settings from the activity dashboard to allow students to access pre-work materials.

    2. IRAT & TRAT

    • From the optional settings,  instructors can set up hints and explanations to be displayed during the activity and/or after activity has ended

    3. Application case

    • For activities that include a large number of teams, instructors can now drag and move the answer pop-up box for discussion.

    4. Peer Evaluation

    • We've added the ability to duplicate Peer Evaluation activity from the course dashboard.
    • While editing the Peer Evaluation, you can now re-order Peer Evaluation questions using the Move Up or Move Down function.
    • Attendance block
      Peer Eval-Attendance
      • Student attendance is now displayed for peer evaluation activities.
      • Instructors can clear answers for specific students using the six-dot button icon next to the name.
    • From the activity dashboard, you can turn the Sentiment Analysis and Profanity Language filter on or off according to your preferences.

    5. Bugs and fixes

    • Display - Names featuring special characters or accents are now accurately displayed.
    • Course Settings 
      Course - date change
      When updating the course date, you now have the option to apply these changes to all associated modules simultaneously.
    • Attendance: Ability to "Select All" when reviewing and adding students to the activity.

    For Students

    1. Student dashboard - Activities completed will show up in the Ongoing tab for 24 hours before being moved to the Completed tab.

    2. Application case activity - We've added a function to remove attachments when responding to an application case activity.
