      What are Roles and Permissions

      This article will provide an overview of how roles and permissions work for Super Admins and Instructors.

      This guide is for

      • Super Admin
      • Admin Teacher
      • Teacher

      Roles and Permissions helps Super Admins and Instructors manage who has access to courses and set the roles access.

      Introduction

      Existing roles will be updated to

      • Course Owner - Course Owner
      • Teacher (Full-Access) - Course Admin 
      • Teacher (read-only) - Observer

      Please note that only the Course Owner can duplicate modules and activities to another course. If you’d like Course Admins to have this ability, a Super Admin of the account can enable it in Global Settings.

      About Collaborators

      Instructors can add collaborators to your course based on roles access to course management, activity management and student management, or allow any instructor from your institution to participate in the course.

      Global Settings (Super Admin Only)

      Custom roles can be created or edited by the Super Admin.
