What are “Matching” type of questions? (Upcoming release 1 Dec 2024)

This article will provide you with basic information about Matching type of questions. Matching questions are available on Application Cases only.

This Guide is for:

  • Super Admin
  • Teacher Admin (Full-Access)
  • Teacher, (Owner Full-Access)

Matching type questions are a type of assessment question where students match items from two lists, typically connecting terms, definitions, concepts, or images with corresponding answers. This question type is often used to assess a student’s ability to recognise associations, relationships, or similarities between paired items.

Steps to create Matching type questions:

  • Create an Application activity and add new question.
  • Insert the Question Stem.
  • Under Question type, select Matching
  • You can create Matching type questions for
    • One-to-One
    • One-to-Many
  • Insert the Prompt Title and Answer Title
  • You can create as manyPrompt and Answers matches as needed.

Only text options can be created; image options are not supported.
