Activity Settings

1. Special Accommodations: Checkbox to allow auto-start IRAT after Early Start

Teachers can now choose to automatically start the IRAT for students with early start accommodations as soon as their early start period ends. To do this, teachers can enable the checkbox: “Automatically start IRAT after Early Start ends.”

When this setting is turned on, students with early start accommodations will stay on the quiz screen instead of being taken out, making their transition into the regular IRAT smoother.

2. Optional setting: Team Reporter to see team mates iRAT selections

Teachers can now enable a new Step 4: Optional Settings option: “Show teammates’ iRAT selections in tRAT (BETA).”

When this setting is enabled, team members can view their teammates’ iRAT answer selections while completing the tRAT. This gives teams more context during discussion and decision-making.

3. Hints and Explanations for Application MCQs

Hints and explanations are now available for Application Case activities with MCQ Single questions.

When creating an activity, instructors can add a hint and an explanation to each MCQ Single question. This feature is only available for MCQ Single question types.

In Step 4: Optional Settings, instructors and syllabus builders can enable Show Hints and Explanations and choose Show after the activity has ended. When this setting is enabled, students will be able to view hints and explanations as soon as the Application Case activity closes.

On the student side, students can open the View dropdown, select Team Answers, and then click View Answer and Explanation for each question to see the explanation for that specific MCQ Single question.

4. Peer evaluation

• Export
  We have included “Assessor ID” into the Activity Grades Export for Peer Evaluation.
• Date and time stamps
  New column in the activity grades export has been added to show date and time an activity has been submitted.
• PAF Re-calculations for absentees
  
  To recalculate PAF to exclude students that are marked as absent within a team, teacher can enable the toggle from the activity dashboard.

  

   

5. Questions export

This is applicable for MCQ single/multiple correct answer, Free Response, VSA, Matching and Sequencing question types only.

From the Activity Dashboard, scroll down to the Questions panel to export questions in the activity.

• Export to PDF
  Generate a printer-friendly document of all questions for offline review, archiving, or distribution.

• Export to QTI
  Export questions in QTI-compliant XML for importing into compatible Learning Management Systems and assessment tools. 
  

6. Improved Question Bank Search Function

We have enhanced the Question Bank search so that it now scans questions across all activities in the course, enabling instructors to efficiently find, review, and reuse questions within their library.

STUDENT

1. Dashboard management

We have introduced a new “Upcoming” tab for activities that have been published but have not yet started. This helps reduce cognitive load for students when they log in to the student dashboard.

• Ongoing: Current activities in progress or recently completed within the last 24 hours.

• Upcoming: Activities that are published but haven't started yet will be listed here.

• Completed: Review completed activities that are made available by Teacher.

2. Export Gradebook from student dashboard

When the grades are released, students have the option to download their grades from the student dashboard - Gradebook tab.
