      How to Join a Course When Instructor Access Is Enabled

      This article explains how teachers can automatically join a course on InteDashboard when instructor access is enabled. It also covers default roles, how to request a different role, and the ability to leave (or be removed from) the course.

      This Guide is for:

      • Teachers

      When a Course Owner enables the "Allow any instructor to join" option, teachers can freely join the course without needing approval.

      To join a course:

      1. Log in to your InteDashboard account.

      2. Navigate to the Courses page.

      3. Locate the three dots under "Actions" for the course you want to join.

      4. Click on the “Join Course” button.

      ✅ You will be automatically added to the course as a collaborator, with the role set by the Course Owner (e.g., Course Admin, Syllabus Builder, Facilitator, or Observer).

      Need a different role?

      If you'd like a different role than the one assigned by default, please reach out to the Course Owner to request a role change.

      Additional Notes:

      • You can leave the course as a collaborator at any time.

      • The Course Owner can also remove you from the course at any time.
