This article will show you how to setup Grade Passback for Canvas
This Guide is for:
- Super Admin
To enable Grade Passback for Canvas, you will first need to integrate InteDashboard with Canvas. You will need to have the admin rights from your organization to modify or add LTI 1.3 tools to your Canvas account.
Follow this guide on how to setup LTI 1.3 with Canvas.
Once you have successfully integrated LTI 1.3 with Canvas, please contact our Customer Support team at support@intedashboard.com. Our engineers will then enable Grade Passback for your institution to proceed with the setup.
Once Grade Passback has been enabled, you can proceed with the setup by following these steps:
Step 1: Teacher MUST connect using LTI 1.3 to perform the grade push. Logging in via email/password will not be effective.
Step 2: Go to Course Settings (Account > Courses > {Course Name} > Settings)
a. Scroll down to LTI 1.3 Settings
b. Click Course Context and select the course in the LMS
i. All the grade push from InteDashboard Course will be posted to the corresponding LMS Course.
ii. You can connect multiple courses from InteDashboard to a single course in the LMS.
iii. This is one time step only.

- Please make sure that activity is graded. It won’t work on Peer Evaluation
Step 4: Click Post Grades to LMS. This should take less than a minute to complete.
Step 5: Login to LMS and it should automatically create a new assignment with the grades from InteDashboard. The activity name will be indicated in the label.
