How do I integrate InteDashboard with OpenEdX

This article will help you integrate InteDashboard with OpenEdX as an LTI tool.

This Guide is for:

  • Super Admin
  • Admin Teacher (Full-Access)
  • Teacher (Owner Full-Access)

To integrate InteDashboard with OpenEdX you will need to have the admin rights from your organization to modify or add LTI tools to your OpenEdX account.

You will also need to have a course created on InteDashboard, so you can grab the LMS integration details from that course and integrate it those details into OpenEdX.

*Please note that the integration with OpenEdX works for LTI 1.1 only.

Steps on How to Integrate InteDashboard with OpenEdX

Step 1: In the Advanced Module List, insert "lti_consumer"
 
 
Step 2: Under LTI Passports, you can add in the brackets following this format: {LTI-ID-OF-YOUR-CHOICE}:{InteDashboard Consumer Key}:{InteDashboard Shared Secret Key}
The InteDashboard Consumer Key and Shared Secret Key can be found in the Course tab - Settings - Enrolment Settings

Step 3: Once the above settings are saved, from the dashboard, please proceed to add a 'New Section' - "New Subsection" - "New Unit". Then click Edit.
The LTI ID should be the same as the one you set in the LTI Passport (any key of your choice as long as it's the same)
The LTI URL should be from the same Course settings on InteDashboard.
